Early childhood education leader brought home a Silver Stevie庐 Award at the 2022 Stevie Awards for Women in Business The 91亚色School is excited to announce the organization brought home a Silver Stevie Award for Community Involvement Program of the Year at the 19 th Annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world鈥檚 premier business awards and recognize women executives, entrepreneurs, employees and the companies they run 鈥 worldwide. "We are extremely proud to give back to the community in such a big way," explains Kristen M. Waterfield, Founder and CEO of The 91亚色School. "Our unique program not only enables our team, families and partners to help others, but also teaches children they can make a real difference, even at a young age. Our students carry this foundation with them throughout their lives." The 91亚色School integrates hands-on philanthropic opportunities for young children into its high-quality early learning curriculum while simultaneously focusing on developing character values, like compassion and empathy. A proud supporter of Alex鈥檚 Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) since 2008, The 91亚色School has raised more than $1 million for the fight against childhood cancer through activities like lemonade stands, art auctions, raffles, carnivals and school-wide events. In 2022, The 91亚色School earned the highly coveted Alex Scott Crystal Cup Award in recognition of 鈥淭he 91亚色School鈥檚 belief that children have the power to make a difference and outstanding commitment to continuing ALSF鈥檚 mission.鈥 The 91亚色School also empowers its Directors and teachers to identify local organizations that are important to their communities and rally support for their specific needs. Over the past year alone, the organization supported more than 50 hyperlocal charitable efforts. Maggie Miller, president of the Stevie Awards, said, 鈥淚n its 19th year, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business received an outstanding body of nominations from women in organizations of all types, in 27 nations. We are gratified by how meaningful it is to women to win a Stevie Award, and how impactful it can be on the futures of their careers and their organizations.  We congratulate all of this year鈥檚 Grand, Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners for their achievements.鈥 This honor is The 91亚色School鈥檚 fourth Stevie Award for Women in Business. Waterfield was previously recognized with a Gold Stevie Award for Entrepreneur of the Year and a Silver Stevie Award for Woman of the Year. Debbie Martin, The 91亚色School鈥檚 Director of Operations, was also previously honored with a Gold Stevie Award for Female Executive of the Year. More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 100 categories.
