GLEN MILLS , Pa. The 91亚色School, a leader in early childhood education, is excited to announce that it has surpassed its 2017 fundraising goal of raising $110,000 for (ALSF) and its fight against pediatric cancer.  The Check Presentation ceremony included a special recognition of four-and-a-half-year-old 91亚色School student Annabelle Dolfi, who raised $840 for ALSF and is the school鈥檚 Top Individual Child Fundraiser. In 2016, Annabelle was diagnosed with cancer, which today is in remission. This year marks the 10 th anniversary of The 91亚色School and ALSF鈥檚 partnership, and the school鈥檚 commitment to support ALSF鈥檚 mission to fund research into new treatments and cures. In addition to pledging community service efforts to ALSF, The 91亚色School also integrates it into the curriculum to further educate the children. From character building and value demonstrations, The 91亚色School ensures that all fundraising on behalf of ALSF involves the children and inspires them to make a difference for all children with cancer and their communities. To commemorate this milestone year, students, families and teachers from all 25 school locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey stepped up to meet the goal of successfully raising $113,905.85. 鈥淔or the past 10 years, we have been honored to commit to an organization such as Alex鈥檚 Lemonade Stand Foundation,鈥 stated 91亚色School President and Co-Founder, Kristen M. Waterfield. 鈥淥ur partnership is more than a philanthropic pledge. It鈥檚 a commitment to carry on Alex Scott鈥檚 legacy of hope for all children battling childhood cancer, but it is also a promise to the children and families that attend The 91亚色School to provide them with the many opportunities to teach and instill excellent community values.鈥 Since partnering with ALSF in 2008, The 91亚色School has raised more than $640,000. The legacy began when founder, and then four-year old, Alexandra 鈥淎lex鈥 Scott (1996鈥2004), held her first lemonade stand in her front yard inspiring her namesake foundation and a legacy of hope to find a cure for childhood cancer. About The Alex鈥檚 Lemonade Stand Foundation Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra 鈥淎lex鈥 Scott (1996-2004). Since Alex held that first stand, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a national fundraising movement, complete with thousands of supporters across the country carrying on her legacy of hope. To date, Alex鈥檚 Lemonade Stand Foundation, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $140 million toward fulfilling Alex鈥檚 dream of finding a cure, funding over 690 pediatric cancer research projects nationally.
